About Gareth
I am a Forensic Linguistics master's graduate with one year's experience teaching TEFL in China and two years' experience as an English tutor, providing help with comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and creative writing. At the end of term award ceremony during my stay in China, I was proud to receive a certificate for being 'most popular teacher'. Additionally, I am also a grade 8 guitarist and have experience tutoring guitar at intermediate level.

My teaching method is catered entirely to the student's learning style and how he/she wants to develop. I find it very useful to centre the learning around the student's personal interests, such as favourite music, books, and TV shows. Focusing on expression--both in art and conversation--can be a more engaging way of tackling even potentially dry topics, such as grammar (not that I have ever used that word to describe grammar!).
