About Brian
I'm Brian, an Oxford Seminars ESL/TEFL certified English tutor specializing in young learners ages 4–12. Over the past six months I've delivered more than 1,500 lessons to children at varying levels and backgrounds, giving me a deep, practical understanding of what it takes to keep young learners engaged, progressing, and genuinely excited about English.
By day I work as a Graphic Designer, which shapes how I build lessons — visually engaging, clearly structured, and tailored to hold a child's attention. As a father of two multilingual boys, I also understand this journey from a parent's perspective. I know the breakthroughs, the frustrations, and what it means to trust someone with your child's education.
My teaching is grounded in a simple belief: children learn best when lessons feel personal. I take time to understand each student's interests and build from there, whether that means counting dinosaurs, talking about their favorite sport, or working through a story they actually want to read. Every session ends with something fun — because a child who enjoys their lesson is a child who comes back.
I hold an Oxford Seminars ESL/TEFL certification and have hands-on classroom experience through volunteer work in public schools across Massachusetts and Florida.

Teaching Method and Techniques
My approach is built around three things: making kids feel comfortable, following their lead, and keeping energy high. Every child learns differently, so I come prepared with multiple lesson directions and I'm not afraid to pivot mid-session if something isn't clicking. Interest-led learning is at the core of everything I do — if a child loves dinosaurs, cars, or football, those become the building blocks of vocabulary, counting, and conversation. Learning sticks when it feels relevant.
I use props, visual materials, and reward-based activities to keep young learners engaged and motivated throughout each session.
A Typical Lesson
Every lesson opens with a short, low-pressure check-in. I pay close attention during these first few minutes — is the child relaxed? Are they responding more confidently than last time? This informal observation shapes how I approach the rest of the session. From there we move into prepared materials tailored to their level and interests, with backup activities ready if we need to shift direction. Every lesson ends on a high note with a word game or a fun writing activity — something that leaves them looking forward to next time.
What Sets Me Apart
With over 1,000 lessons taught to children ages 4–12 on LingoAce, I've developed a feel for what young learners need that only comes from real experience. My background as a Graphic Designer means my materials are visual, engaging, and thoughtfully structured. And as a dad of two multilingual boys, I approach every session with genuine empathy for the journey a child — and their parents — are on.
I don't use one-size-fits-all curriculums. I watch, adapt, and build lessons around the individual child.
Who the Lessons Are For
These lessons are designed for children ages 4–12 at any level — complete beginners finding their first English words, or younger learners looking to build confidence and fluency. Sessions are conducted fully online and are ideal for non-native English speaking families who want structured, engaging, and personalized instruction from a certified, experienced tutor.
