I want to teach those interested in starting their Japanese learning journey the most effective methods for building a foundation in the language. I want to work at the student's pace, as I understand that language learning sometimes does not click immediately.
We will start learning the basic scripture of the language, Kana. Though you might be aware there is a romanization of the characters available on a lot of apps and other learning services, it is important to distance yourself from the alphabet you already know.
From there, we will start to form simple sentences, greetings, and other survival vocabulary.
I have a strong grasp of Japanese grammar and can teach the structures in a way that makes sense to English speakers.
I believe being a non native speaker is an advantage as it allows for me to dive into what I did to get a start in the language and relay that to someone whose language and culture is the same. Learning a new language is, in a way, learning how to think in a different way.
