About Quinn
I am a passionate piano tutor with a Bachelor’s degree in Music and over eight years of experience helping students grow in both technical ability and musical expression. My journey with the piano began at a young age, and through years of study and performance, it became a meaningful part of my identity. Teaching has allowed me to share this passion with others and help them discover their own connection to music. Throughout my teaching career, I’ve worked with students of all ages and backgrounds—from young children learning their first notes to adults returning to the piano after years away. I believe that every learner is unique, so I tailor my approach to suit individual goals, learning styles, and musical interests. Whether the focus is on classical training, creative exploration, or performance preparation, I strive to make each lesson purposeful and rewarding. In addition to teaching, I stay active as a musician, continuing to learn new repertoire and techniques. I also enjoy studying different pedagogical approaches, which helps me stay current and bring fresh ideas into my lessons. This ongoing growth allows me to offer lessons that are both rooted in tradition and responsive to each student’s needs. At the heart of my teaching is a genuine belief in the power of music to build confidence, focus, and joy. I am committed to creating a positive and supportive learning space where students feel encouraged and inspired. Watching a student develop their skills and find fulfillment in their music is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

My piano lessons are structured to support both beginners and experienced players with a thoughtful, student-centered approach. Whether you’re learning for fun, preparing for exams, or aiming to improve performance skills, I adapt each session to match your individual goals and pace. I believe in creating a relaxed yet focused learning environment where students can grow musically and build confidence at the keyboard.
Lessons start with a strong foundation in technique, posture, and note reading. For beginners, we explore the layout of the keyboard, hand positioning, and simple rhythms, gradually building up to playing full pieces with expression. As students progress, we move into more advanced topics such as dynamic control, pedal use, phrasing, and musical interpretation.
I include music theory and ear training as natural parts of the learning process to help students understand how music works, not just how to play it. We explore a variety of repertoire—from classical pieces to modern styles—so that each student remains engaged and challenged. For those preparing for exams or performances, we focus on goal-setting, time management, and practice strategies that lead to consistent improvement.
With a Bachelor’s degree in Music and eight years of teaching experience, I bring a balance of formal training and real-world insight to each lesson. I aim to help every student find not only technical skill, but also personal expression and enjoyment in their playing. Whether you're starting fresh or returning to the piano after a break, I offer guidance that is supportive, structured, and always rooted in a love for music.
