About Eileen
Hello! My name is Eileen and I’m excited to teach English. I’m from Orlando, Florida and I am a Linguistics major at the University of Florida. I also have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from the University of Toronto. I have interned as an English Language Assistant at the European School of Munich, a private school in Germany, where I assisted with grades 1 to 5. While studying abroad in China, I also volunteered to tutor children in English.
Here’s a little bit about me! I grew up here in Florida, but I’ve also lived in Kentucky. I speak with and teach a Standard American English accent. I love to cook, play guitar and piano, and travel. As a Linguistics major, I have studied Mandarin Chinese, Russian, and Turkish. After high school, I spent my gap year in Germany and I also speak fluent German. Upon graduation from college, I will teach English abroad.

My teaching method is conversation based on topics of daily life and news. I focus on speaking skills and identifying your common grammatical mistakes, developing vocabulary, and introducing American culture. I teach 30 minute or 1-hour lessons and have a flexible schedule.
