About Ana Karina
My level of English is C1, I speak it since I was little and I have excellent pronunciation. I recently did a master's degree in ESIC that was entirely in English, including academic papers and oral presentations. At the same time, I have experience working in positions where I have used the language more than 90% of the time. I have more experience with American English, but I know a lot about British too and I like to emphasize the differences between the two.

First of all, I put a rule of speaking at least 65% of the time in English with them, so they get used to the language and I can correct their diction and pronunciation. I like to review what they are seeing at school or in their English courses, with many written completion activities. I also try to make the dynamics a little fun, reviewing songs or even making them watch series or movies in the language and then ask them questions about it and see if they understand. At the end of each week I give them a small exam with what we have seen to check their progress and see where they are failing to reinforce it in the future. I am a person who has a lot of patience and I like to teach them in a way so that they lose their fear, letting them know that it is normal to make mistakes and that this is why I am there: to correct them.
