About Maya

Hello everyone! My name is Maya Cho~
I’m a certified Japanese teacher with over 10 years of online teaching experience. I passed the JLPT N1, hold Arizona state Japanese teaching certification, ACTFL certification, and worked at a Japanese university for 5 years. I also teach world history and Korean, and love discussing history and culture with my students. I have lived in Osaka and Seoul, so I also enjoy sharing stories and chatting about these places with my students. ୭

Some of my hobbies and interests include:
Anime & manga
K-pop & K-dramas
Korean culture
History
I love chatting about these topics with my students and using our shared interests to make language learning more fun and engaging!

My teaching motto is; "Connection, not perfection! " Mistakes are part of learning, and every step forward helps you grow. I believe learning is most successful when students feel comfortable, curious, and excited to learn.
