About Valeria

Music has been a central part of my life since I was 5. Playing the piano, learning new songs on the guitar and singing are my favourite things, and I believe anyone can benefit from learning an instrument.

My professional career has pivoted towards finance, however, the passion for music has always remained in my heart, so I started teaching in 2023. Seeing my students grow in confidence, skill, and musical understanding is the greatest gift.

I enjoy performing and have taken part in a local Ukrainian band, where we performed at a few events in Aberdeen. When I have free time, I also enjoy posting recordings on social media.

About the lesson

I have been teaching piano since 2023 and have worked with over 10 students of different ages and levels. Lessons focus on building a strong musical foundation — correct posture and hand position, finger technique, and confident note reading.

We incorporate technical practice such as scales, arpeggios, chords and finger exercises, alongside repertoire the student enjoys. Music theory is included at a basic level, or more in depth if the student wishes.

Preparation for ABRSM graded exams is also available.

Lessons are open to all ages (children from age 5).

Typical lesson length is 30 minutes for young children and 45–60 minutes for teenagers and adults.

Lessons can take place at your home or mine.

Each student receives an adaptable, personalised approach, shaped around their goals, pace and abilities — whether learning for enjoyment, exams, or long-term progress.
