About Jessica
I love teaching and have been teaching for over 15 years. Upper elementary and middle school students is where I spent most of my classroom experience. However, I have also tutored refugee students in high school. I was even an Instructional Specialist who coached other teachers on how to improve their methods. Teaching students where English is their second language is my new passion after receiving my endorsement less than two years ago. I minored in Spanish as well. I would love to help you learn English better.

My teaching method is flexible. I start with getting to know you and your strengths and weaknesses. I like to make the material applicable to real life, use pictures to aid in comprehension, and repeat skills many times in order to retain the information presented. If one approach doesn't work, I am willing to research and try other strategies until one is successful.
