About Danika
I became a teacher after spending six months teaching English in Japan in my mid twenties. I fell in love with working with children and helping them achieve their goals. My first teaching job was in a remote Aboriginal community in the Kimberley, where I spent three years learning about the world's oldest living culture and seeing first hand the sacred connection Australia's First Nation's people have with their land. I then moved to Tasmania to start my family. I have been working in a more traditional high school classroom setting, teaching English, history, and religion. I am currently at home having recently had my third baby. This allows me to be flexible with your schedule.

I am a passionate teacher with experience teaching in an international English school in Japan, a remote Aboriginal community, a traditional high school setting, and online. My lessons are tailored to the individual needs, whether that be liaising with your classroom teacher, assisting with homework and assignments, or providing support with academic skills. Lessons can be thirty minutes to ninety minutes in length. I am a qualified high school teacher, but am able to cater to year five and six students.
