About Lynda
I am an English and Art Specialist Teacher with a background in Graphic Design. I am also a NZ qualified Journalist and have worked as a Relief Teacher at Spotswood College, Sacred Heart Girls College, Frances Douglas Memorial College as well as tutor for Kip McGrath for a number of years in New Plymouth. I am passionate about Art, Photography, Dance and the Natural Environment.

Firstly I assess where the student is at: on what level of understanding. With English it may be that they need help with reading comprehension, spelling or grammar. Senior students sometimes lack confidence in Essay Writing Skills - I can help with all of these things. Getting to know the student is paramount and evaluating where I can assist to strengthen areas of learning that have been missed in a classroom environment.
I am also an Art tutor and work with acrylic on canvas, pen and pencil on paper as well as using oil based inks to creative effect. My interests include photography of NZ landscapes as well as close-ups of native fauna and birds. I am passionate about the natural environment and my paintings and photographs reflect this.
