About Cameron

Cameron has learnt the piano from an early age and plays in public regularly and has now decided to take up teaching others the joy of playing the Piano. Receiving Grade 8 Trinity College in Performance Piano, Cameron is now working towards his ATCL with Trinity College.

About the lesson

Learning to play the piano as an adult can be a deeply rewarding experience, offering both a creative outlet and a way to challenge oneself. Unlike children, adults often have a clearer sense of their goals and can approach learning with greater discipline and focus. Many find that playing the piano provides a wonderful escape from daily stresses, allowing for a meditative experience that can enhance overall well-being. The joy of creating music, whether through practicing familiar tunes or exploring new genres, can rekindle a sense of curiosity and passion that might have been set aside over the years.

Moreover, the process of learning the piano as an adult fosters important skills beyond music. It enhances cognitive functions, improves memory, and boosts coordination, all of which contribute to a more agile mind. Additionally, the social aspect of music—whether through group lessons, jam sessions, or sharing progress with friends and family—can build connections and create a sense of community. Embracing the challenge of learning an instrument can lead to personal growth, newfound confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music that enriches one’s life in countless ways.

For your weekly learning sessions, you’ll be taken through your own workbook where you’ll learn practical skills (and some theoretical) that you can apply to your playing straight away.

For further information about how you can take up the mantle of creativity and learn the Piano, contact Cameron today for more information.
