Hi! I’m Sumire
I offer fun, conversation-focused Japanese lessons for travelers.
I have a JLPT N/A but I hold Level 2 of the Kanji Kentei, and I love reading Japanese novels. I enjoy sharing the “living language” of Japanese in a fun and easy way!

We can practice useful phrases for travel, everyday conversation, restaurants, shopping, and more. Don’t worry about grammar — let’s focus on speaking and having fun!

About the lesson

My lessons focus on Travel Japanese and conversational Japanese for beginners and lower-intermediate learners.

You will learn practical and natural Japanese that you can immediately use in real situations, such as:
• Ordering food at restaurants and cafés
• Asking for directions and using public transportation
• Shopping and checking in at hotels
• Simple daily conversations and small talk

I explain Japanese grammar and expressions clearly and logically in English, so even complete beginners can feel comfortable.

Each lesson is structured but relaxed:
• We start with useful phrases for a specific situation
• Practice through short conversations and role-plays
• I give gentle corrections and help you sound more natural

I believe making mistakes is an important part of learning, so my lessons are friendly and pressure-free.
