About Kiki

Qualification and experience

Master's in Music from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire
Loretto International Boarding School, Edinburgh
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra
Leader of Birmingham String Quartet

I am from Taiwan; we are known for being friendly and happy : ) Some parents asked me to teach in Mandarin, which is totally fine with me.

My specialty is keeping the class light-hearted while maintaining technique, learning, and delivering results.

Most of my students say time passes quickly, and I have many siblings learning together. Since I have been teaching for 20 years now, some of them have grown up; it's such a great feeling to see them start their own careers- lots of dentists, for some reason. Recently, I performed at my students' weddings; that was emotional!

I am very grateful to get to know so many wonderful families, and I appreciate the lifelong relationships.

About the lesson

From beginner to advanced level, I am based in the UK and use the British teaching system of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. I submit students' exams digitally and help them meet exam requirements and receive their certificates.

The advertised fee is for two students; one-to-one sessions are available for $70.

Music theory is taught throughout. My profile may look new on the US website; I have nearly 30 five-star reviews on the UK site, and I am at the ambassador level.
