About Bridgette

I have been teaching piano lessons since 2010. I was a piano student myself, and learned the fundamentals during the 8 years prior (2002-2010). I continue to learn things every day, and I am always growing as a musician and creative thinker.

Playing the piano has been a part of my life through all stages, and I have continued to build my knowledge of theory, alongside tips and a instruction method that is well established, while maintaining the ability to be flexible to your educational needs and interests.

About the lesson

Starting off a lesson with a warm-up (either chords, scales, or a fundamental skill that we will build on later) is a great way to get comfortable sitting in front of the keys.

Once you're familiar with the keyboard, I like to incorporate songs you know and love into the lesson (playing songs you enjoy listening to helps the learning process).

It is also great to incorporate a lesson book, that will ensure that you continue to build fundamental skills to be on your way to becoming a pro (examples include learning key signatures, time signatures, rhythms, techniques and so much more!)
