Experienced tutor in Piano in New York, Dina offers private lessons tailored to your needs.

In addition to the traditional music theory and performance instruction, Dina has tailored her approach to teaching my daughter based on her interests and skill. For example, she plays games with my daughter that help with learning theory (with pencil and paper and on the keyboard). They also listen to her favorite pop songs and clap out the beats. They talk about famous composers and listen to the classics. After a few months, Dina had my daughter start playing Bach. I will admit that getting her to practice is still a struggle, but then again I hated practicing as a kid too. I check in with Dina often on her study and I am happy that we are able to discuss different strategies to keep my daughter interested in studying piano. Overall, my daughter is building confidence and pride in playing piano. She felt quite proud performing Minuet in G at the recital and playing for family and friends. I believe that this has helped her appreciate the hard work she puts into practicing and taking lessons. I am more than happy with Dina's teaching.

The review is for Dina, the piano instructor. It's been almost a year that I take one hour piano/music class with Dina on weekly basis. Below pointers are very important for busy adult students who would otherwise easily give up : She prepares for each lesson: what to learn, what theory or fingering to work on, etc. Each lesson is filled with her passion for music. She adjusts and accommodates her method and content accordingly. She prepares for each lesson: what to learn, what theory or fingering to work on, etc. My husband, a very busy person and a complete newbie to piano, after hearing my recommendation, started taking lessons with Dina. I would definitely recommend Dina to anyone, whether you are new to piano or have some level of experience.

This review is for Dina, the piano teacher. I have an one-hour piano lesson with Dino once a week. What becomes apparent quickly is Dina's passion for piano and music itself as an art form. And she engages the student by channelling her passion to the student while being fully tuned in to the student's current state of skills and desires. I can recommend Dina's class without hesitation. Dylan p.s. I am 37 and completely new to piano.
