About Melissa
Over a decade of teaching experience and a host of varied musical experiences and training that span a lifetime. Like I always say, music is music, regardless of style.
I love watching people have that "aha!" moment, both when it comes to music and themselves. Self expression through music innately means getting to know yourself and what you have to express. Music is unlike anything else on Earth; it's a joy helping people discover that.
When I learned how to read as a child, the first thing I did after that? I taught the kid next to me. That's when something sparked in me for the first time. As a college student, our school was renowned for music, so my peers and I were always being solicited for lessons from the community. My voice teacher is the one who encouraged me to believe in myself and give it a try.

It was very personal and the class was focused on growing my voice and teaching better technics for singing which I had never experienced. We worked though on songs that I enjoyed as well as different materials that I wouldn’t have picked for myself but still it grew my voice and I learned different styles of aiming as well.
She is an excellent teacher. Very supportive, with lots of helpful tips and tricks. Her music teaching style is very easy to follow and she pushes you out of your comfort zone to try new things. I saw massive improvement in both my singing and my confidence while working with her, and would absolutely recommend Melissa to anyone looking to better their musical talents.
