About Abigail
Are you new to the US? Were you born in the US but speak another language in your home? Do you want to improve your speaking, listening, reading, or writing skills? Do you need academic support, or help with homework? Do you need help with using English in your daily life, for school, a job, or in the community?
I am a native English speaker who has been tutoring ESL for over 4 years. I offer customized lessons that target my students' needs and interests. I have experience working with all
levels of English proficiency (beginner-advanced), and all age groups, kindergarten through adult. Depending on location, I offer in-person or online sessions. I am positive, thoughtful, and pay close attention to students, which helps me figure out their strengths and challenges, and plan engaging lessons and activities that target what they need. I am also very patient, and willing to explain concepts in different ways and try new things so that my students learn and progress. I am an Ivy League university graduate and I have also tutored writing and taught high school Spanish.
