About Daniel
With 8 years of piano teaching experience and close to 300 students taught, I understand that no two students are the same. I work with high school and college students, as well as adults, helping each of them learn piano in a way that feels natural and enjoyable. My approach is simple: learn the basics well, enjoy the process, and focus on what motivates you. I take time to understand each student’s goals. Some want to read music, others want to play by ear or perform for friends and family. I adjust my lessons to meet those goals. I also make learning fun by including songs students already know and love. I break down complex ideas into small, easy steps and always give positive, honest feedback. One of my biggest achievements is helping adult learners gain confidence in playing music they never thought they could. It’s never too late to start learning. Every student I teach is on their own journey. I’m here to support that journey with care, structure, and a little bit of fun along the way.

My piano teaching style is centred around three key values: Compassion, Integrity, and Adaptability. These guide how I teach, how I support my students, and how I help them grow — not just as pianists, but as musicians. Compassion means I care deeply about each student’s comfort and confidence. I create a safe, encouraging space where questions are welcome, and mistakes are part of the learning. Whether you're a beginner or returning to the piano after years, I meet you with patience and support. Integrity is about giving you high-quality, honest instruction. I don’t cut corners or rush through lessons. I take time to understand your goals — whether it’s performing, composing, or just playing for fun — and I help you get there in a steady, structured way. Adaptability lets me tailor each lesson to your needs. If reading music is a challenge, we’ll use creative tools to build fluency. If you want to play by ear, we’ll explore listening and improvisation techniques. I shift my style to match what works best for you. I also help students build broader musical skills like rhythm, ear training, and songwriting. Music is a form of self-expression, and my lessons are designed to help you express yourself through the keys — with confidence, freedom, and joy.
