About Amy
I am a Canadian who has been living in Belgium for 3 years. I have a bachelor's degree in French and History from the University of Manitoba (Canada), a master's degree in multilingual communication (English-French) from the UCLouvain and a master's degree in French as a foreign language/second language, with a teaching focus from ULiège.
During my studies, I had the opportunity to work in multiple nonprofits giving English lessons and giving private English lessons to secondary school students here in Belgium. Furthermore, over the years, I have been able to help my French-speaking friends with their English, especially with their pronunciation and listening/writing skills, as well as my English-speaking Canadian friends with their French.

Hello everyone,
My name is Amy, I am a native English speaker with a master's degree in teaching (AESS). I offer courses in English and French as a foreign language. I have a bachelor's degree in French and History from the University of Manitoba (Canada), a master's degree in multilingual business communications (English-French) from UCLouvain and another master's degree in French as a foreign / second language with a teaching speciality from ULiège. Having a master's degree in teaching as well as many years of private tutoring allow me to easily see how my students are struggling and to come up with a personalized solution.
I am always listening to the student to see where the problem is, then to propose solutions and above all to improve his expression and his oral and written comprehension. I find that a problem with the Belgian school system is the fact that teachers do not have the time to work individually with each student to practice and improve their oral expression. Everyone learns in a different way and that’s why I personalize my lessons for every of my student.
