About Daniel
I am a current university student studying mechanical engineering at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT), and working as a project and design engineer for a well known manufacturing company in Auckland.
Have proven high grades at university level for all subjects in mathematics and physics for classical mechanics, algebra, calculus and statistics.
I would be interesting in tutoring because I suffered a long-term illness in high school, meaning I was unable to complete my last year if NCEA, and I hope to encourage other students who struggle throughout their studies, but want to attend university and are willing to work hard. I can show people that as long as you try hard enough, you can succeed with your studies, no matter what challenges you face. It is also an opportunity to give back to the community.

The method I used to approach tutoring someone is firstly gauging where a student is at in their learning journey, discovering what they are confident in, and what they are not so confident in.
I approach tutoring in a way of asking leading questions to the student, in the hopes of prompting them to use concepts within the content and apply them to their examples.
I believe there is no such person who is bad at mathematics or physics; it just means a student needs that little bit extra encouragement. Seeing someone finally understand their learning content is the whole reason why I want to tutor.
