About Denisse
I am Peruvian-American, and have worked as a primary school educator in Washington, DC as a bilingual teacher at a dual language school. My teaching experience has been both at schools in the classroom and through private tutoring for different ages and subjects. I have been lucky enough to work with a diversity of learners that has allowed me to build a strong foundation in developing individualized learning plans. Personally, I enjoy the outdoors, playing sports, and eating Peruvian cuisine whenever possible!

I intend to make lessons that build curiosity and confidence in Math. I am dedicated to approaching each session with a clear objective and creating engaging lessons. Teaching practices include open-ended problem solving and time for practicing concepts independently. I also firmly believe any class can include a game to reinforce the lesson while also enjoying the learning.
