About Michelle
Originally from Canada, I speak fluent French, English, and Chinese. I'm also learning Italian and am always happy to have the opportunity to practice it with my students. I earned a Bachelor's degree in piano from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (USA) and am currently completing my Master's degree at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP). Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to win several international competitions, including Piano Campus, the Seattle International Piano Competition, and the Shean Competition for Piano and Strings. These experiences have led me to perform throughout North America and Europe, collaborating with musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds. Beyond music, I love nature, hiking, cooking, cinema, and travel. I believe that curiosity and an openness to the world enrich one's artistic sensibility and allow for the development of a more authentic and personal musical expression. Whether your goal is to start playing the piano, deepen your musical education, or prepare for a performance, I will be happy to accompany you on your journey with enthusiasm, rigor, and passion for music.

With over five years of experience teaching piano to students of various levels, from 6 to 50 years old, I tailor my method to the needs and goals of each student. In my lessons, I focus on the fundamentals: music reading, piano technique (scales, arpeggios, coordination exercises), and the development of an effective practice method to learn new pieces independently. A winner of several international competitions and with over thirteen years of concert experience, I also support students who wish to prepare for auditions, exams, concerts, or competitions, helping them develop confidence and manage the stress of performing. For those who study piano as a hobby, my goal is to maintain the joy of making music and to progress without unnecessary pressure, in a positive and stimulating environment.
