About Alice

I’ve been playing piano and singing for as long as I can remember — over 30 years now — and music has always been a constant in my life. It’s where I turn to feel grounded, to lift my mood, and to express myself when words aren’t enough. I want to teach because I know firsthand how powerful music can be. It can relieve stress, build confidence, and bring so much joy. Watching a student play their first song, find their voice, or light up with pride when something clicks — those are the moments that inspire me. My goal is to create a space that feels relaxed, supportive, and fun, where anyone — no matter their age or ability — can discover the magic of music and feel proud of what they can do.

About the lesson

Teaching Style & Methodology
I believe music should be joyful and accessible for everyone. My lessons are relaxed, fun, and supportive, blending:

Games and creative activities to make learning engaging

Music theory woven naturally into practice so it feels easy to understand

Favourite songs chosen by you to keep motivation high

Step-by-step guidance that builds confidence and musical skill

Lesson Length
Typical lessons are 30 or 45 minutes, depending on age and focus. For younger students, shorter lessons keep energy and attention high, while older learners often benefit from a full 45 minutes.

With 30 years of playing experience and many years teaching, I’ve worked with students across a wide range of ages and learning styles. I tailor each lesson to suit the individual, making sure music is both enjoyable and achievable.

Who Lessons Are For

Absolute beginners through to intermediate players.

Children, teens, and adults of all ages

Learners with different needs and abilities – everyone is welcome!

Whether you want to play for fun, build confidence, relieve stress, or dive deeper into music, my goal is to help you enjoy the journey as much as the results.
