About Yuxin

Hi, I'm a Year 12 student at Westlake Girls High School. Throughout my schooling, I have always been placed in the math extension stream, which has allowed me to dive deep into advanced problem-solving and develop a strong, intuitive grasp of the subject.

I understand firsthand the pressure that can come with math, and my goal is to make it a subject you actually look forward to. I do tutoring at my school for the Swart swan program.

Outside of academics, I enjoy mentoring and helping others succeed. I pride myself on being patient, encouraging, and highly adaptable. I know that everyone learns at their own pace and in their own way, so I love finding creative methods to explain tricky concepts until they finally "click."

Whether your child is struggling to keep up, wants to build confidence before a big test, or is looking to get ahead in extension math, I am here to provide the structured, stress-free support they need to reach their goals!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m a Year 12 student at Westlake Girls High School, and I’ve been in the mathematics extension program throughout my high school journey. Because I am currently navigating NCEA/high school math myself, I know exactly what it takes to understand the curriculum, ace assessments, and overcome those tricky concepts that often trip students up.

My goal is to make math less intimidating and more approachable, whether your child needs help catching up, building core confidence, or pushing for top marks in extension. I adapt my teaching style to match how you learn best, whether you need visual breakdowns, step-by-step examples, or extra practice problems.
