About Lyn

In these subjects involving numbers and formulas, you really need to be able to keep up as they move on so quickly. And you need to get the basics right (especially algebra, fractions/percentages/decimals, solving equations). I have been in the education business for all of my working career, at secondary level, at tertiary level, and teaching in the Air Force. My favorite part has been working with individuals or small groups to improve their academic skills, and at the same time, improve their self-confidence.

About the lesson

Having trouble with trigonometry? Confusion with calculus? Problems with p-values?

Do you get behind in class because you can't quite understand the lesson and tomorrow it's moved on to another topic? That's where I can help out. One-on-on tutoring is the best. Just 45 minutes each time can set you on the right trajectory.

I don't teach a standard programme like a lot of those big tuition centres. Instead, I focus on your issues and what is bugging you from class at the moment because you have another assessment next week.

I have taught in secondary schools and at university level so have the knowledge.

These lessons are aimed at those studying NCEA Levels 1-3.

You will need to commute to my home in-between Westgate and Kumeu.
