About Marie

I bring a professional, structured, and engaging approach that helps students feel confident and supported. My lessons are built on active learning, where students are encouraged to think critically and connect ideas to real-world examples. I use scaffolded guidance to simplify complex topics, moving from guided practice to independent application with clear feedback. Each session is carefully planned, beginning with a warm-up, followed by concept introduction, practice, and reflection to ensure lasting understanding.

What sets me apart is my use of Socratic questioning, my interdisciplinary style that links subjects together, and my conversational tone that makes learning engaging rather than rigid. I maintain high standards of clarity and professionalism, reassuring students that they are receiving reliable, well-structured instruction. My lessons are designed for high school students, university learners, adult learners, and specialized learners, all within a supportive environment that builds confidence and motivates success.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is rooted in active learning and adaptability. I guide students by asking thought-provoking questions, encouraging them to explain concepts back to me, and connecting abstract theories to real-world examples. I use scaffolded techniques, breaking down complex ideas into manageable steps and gradually removing support as confidence grows. A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up to activate prior knowledge, followed by a clear introduction of new concepts using analogies or visuals. We then move into guided practice, where I highlight common pitfalls while working through examples together, before transitioning to independent application where learners solve problems on their own with feedback. Finally, we wrap up with reflection, summarizing key takeaways and setting a small challenge to reinforce learning.

What sets me apart is my use of Socratic questioning to challenge assumptions, my interdisciplinary approach that weaves together insights from science, history, philosophy, and technology, and my conversational style that makes lessons feel engaging rather than rigid. I also embrace respectful debate, pushing learners to think critically rather than simply memorizing facts. My lessons are designed for a wide range of learners: high school students building strong foundations, university learners tackling advanced topics, adult learners seeking personal or professional growth, and specialized learners focusing on niche areas like coding, philosophy, or economics.
