About Oscar
I have been teaching for the past 5 years. Starting off as a teaching assistant, I then began teaching in schools with an organisation called Chess in Schools and Communities. After that, I completed a CELTA and I have loved teaching English in language academies. Throughout this time I have taught maths, chess and languages one to one as a private tutor. I have a passion for these subjects and I hope to convey that in the lessons I teach.

I use a range of online interactive resources to aid my teaching. In our lessons, we will continuously develop reading, listening, writing and speaking skills. In most cases, I will strongly emphasise pronunciation, which I believe is the most difficult part of English learning. I often combine guided-learning and task-based learning approaches. This creates a highly focused and engaging environment where the student is placed at the centre of the lesson.
