As someone who has learned a lot from Aysan Tohidi and knows other students of hers, I'd like to point out that aside from being an amazing artist, she's extremely good at maintaining a human connection with the students and helping them create the right mindset required both for success in the process of learning how to play the instrument and life in general. She knows the theory very well but never insists too much on it in a way that makes the lessons boring; but that doesn't mean she doesn't do her best to help you learn as much as you need about the theory as she rightly considers it as an indispensable element of a student becoming a good guitar player. Aside from helping you build a solid theoretical foundation, she's also extremely good at teaching you the techniques, and the exercises are almost never boring. Also, as a flamenco guitarist who is well familiar with classical music, jazz, and pop music, she always does a very good job in helping the students learn and cover new songs and find their own paths in their musical journey. As a student of hers, you learn a new valuable lesson EVERY SINGLE SESSION, and she does a very good job mentoring and helping the students when they feel like they're not in the mood for practice. I don't remember a single time where after her class I hadn't learned a new valuable thing and didn't feel better about life in general. I'm deeply grateful to her both for helping me start playing the instrument again after many years and for being such an amazing human being who actually cares about the students not because of the money but out of having a nice, generous soul. I definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to learn how to play the instrument and learn about music in general.
