About Emma
Making music is wow. It's love, It's communication, it's a way out, it's a way in. You have the tools, you have the knowledge. HERE. The best thing about it is that your new song hasn't been heard yet. Ok. Put it down. Stop fooling around with a cucumber and cover it up. Come along with me to my little corner of the world.
People don't usually know they can write a song until I get my hands on them. Haha, surprise surprise. I'm off to try track some people to write some testimonials. See ya soon - when you want.
Do not love half lovers
Do not entertain half friends
Do not live half a life
and do not die a half death
If you choose silence, then be silent
When you speak, do so until you are finished
Do not silence yourself to say something
And do not speak to be silent
If you accept, then express it bluntly
Do not mask it
If you refuse then be clear about it
for an ambiguous refusal is but a weak acceptance
Do not accept half a solution
Do not believe half truths
Do not dream half a dream
Do not fantasize about half hopes
Half the way will get you nowhere
Half an idea will bear you no results
Half a life is a life you didn't live,
A word you have not said
A smile you postponed
A love you have not had
A friendship you did not know
The half is a mere moment of inability
but you are able for you are not half a being
You are a whole that exists to live a life
not half a life.
~ Khalil Gibran

"Music Is My Life": I penned this song aged 15, sang an original song on radio aged 10. I facilitate songwriting with the decades of experience and training I've had. A 100% success rate so far. Yes people - even you can write a song. SO - IF you are a songwriter or - not yet, I bet you have lots to write about. Come and do it beautifully and or expressively, and/or colourfully, and/or relaxed, and/or a way only yo can do it, and/or bizarrely, and/or preciously, and/or seriously, and/or importantly, and/or momentarily, and/or humanitarianly, politically, and/or spontaneously, and/or to heal, and/or to address and issue, and/or say what you think.
Welcome, to the one and only songwriting experience. You're in the right place. When I was doing my education degree, I was asked to front the class and facilitate classmates to write a song and I quickly formed into mode and though none of them had done anything of the sort ever before, they couldn't believe that twenty minutes later each and every one of them had suddenly written a song. Don was a prison officer, the island guy was a cop, the pakeha wahine had lost a whole lotta' weight and I don't remember her profession, and a couple of them wrote a haka to use as a tool to teach their students and make life interesting. I showed them the way.
Giving you the tools to develop yourself will be my focus.
- There will be one on one chats where we delve into your specific needs.
- I will provide you with feedback on your practice.
- I will teach you portions of my Art Work course
- I will give you assignments and resources which we will use to develop your skills between classes.
I will advise you on your own productions while helping you develop a career strategy that will lead you towards completing your first feature with the right boxes ticked.
Do you want to give it a go? Welcome - Nau Mai, Haere Mai folks. Come in for a buzz.
I am naturally creative, intuitive and believe that God (Io, or the universe mauri) bring you to me for what ever reason. And that's not a manipulation. I won't let you down, and I know how important it is. Io bless, aroharoa.
