About Maxilus
Hey there! I'm a multi-instrumentalist specializing in the violin, piano, guitar, drums, and bass, having achieved proficiency up to grade 8. Beyond my instrumental skills, I'm also a music producer with expertise in music arrangement, vocal mixing, and mastering for diverse projects, including movie soundtracks and global artist singles. Following the completion of my Contemporary Music Degree, I embarked on a fulfilling career in music education, initially based in Malaysia. Over the years, my impact has transcended borders, with a global network of over 200 students benefiting from my guidance and expertise. As the founder and principal of Maxilus Music Studio, I am dedicated to enhancing the learning experience for my students. My commitment involves fostering engagement in every class by implementing diverse approaches to music, prioritizing passion over strict exam syllabuses. Each session is uniquely crafted for enjoyable and effective learning.

Over the years, I've observed a growing interest in contemporary pop/jazz music, motivating individuals to learn instruments for the joy of playing their favorite songs. In response, I've developed a user-friendly solfège system that facilitates quick mastery, allowing even inexperienced musicians to play their preferred tunes within weeks. The success of this system is evident in the achievements of my students, who excel in both classical and contemporary music exams. Our expertly crafted lessons cover the details, tips and tricks of Music theory, providing you with a solid foundation for musical understanding. Perfect for those aspiring to pursue a career in music or seeking to complete music theory exams. But that's not all – our program goes beyond the conventional. Seamlessly integrated into these theory lessons is our innovative Music Listening and Ear Training Course. Elevate your musicality, master the art of listening with precision, and play any song by ear. This unique combination sets our program apart, offering you a holistic musical education that transforms your experience. Seems too good to be true? Come try it out and you'll know that it is worth it.

MMS is doing a very great job in terms of arranging the classes and making my child wanted to attend the classes every weekend. But it would be great if the following things are taken into concern.
1. As my child is studying drums and we do have limitations in terms of space at home to get him a set of drums, we aren't having any idea of how is he doing in drums and what's his progress.
2. Frequent events within the studio is recommend. My son has only preformed once and it was really a proud moment of we parents as we get to see our child performing and know how far he has reached. It will also awake the confidence of the child. I've witnessed few of our son's friends who studies instrument in different studios performing on public stages and the opportunity is given through the studio.
3. Monthly review about the child is appreciated as parents are unaware of what they are doing in the class. A short video of them performing in the class, once in a month would be great.Max and Janice are super good, very patient. You will fall in love in music through their teaching!
I've been taught my Maxilus for several years and it's been an absolutely incredible journey. I've learnt how to master the bass guitar and experienced the essence of what a great musician is. Would 100% recommend to learn under him and step foot into the world of music.
Teacher Max awesome excellent at helping his students and very communicative. If you need help in music, he is the guy to be learning with.
Good teacher very nice would reccomend. Good teaching very nice and passionate. Knows what he is talking about. Not strict and chill. Would reccomend
My daughter learns with teacher Gideon in Max's school. From what I've observed he is nice and easy going which is great as a working parent who have changing schedules. The place seems nice and conducive. I would love to hear more straight forward feedback after class on how my daughter is doing, and maybe explain a little on what is her homework or what she needs to practise for the rest of the week.
Max is a very experienced tutor. I'm thrilled to share my positive experience with my music teacher. His dedication, expertise, and passion for music have truly impacted my musical journey. His guidance has not only enhanced my technical skills but also deepened my appreciation and understanding of music as an art form. His patient and encouraging approach has created a supportive learning environment where I feel comfortable exploring new techniques and expressing myself creatively. I am grateful for the personalized attention he provides, tailoring lessons to suit my individual needs and goals. Thanks to his guidance, I have grown immensely as a musician and feel more confident in my abilities. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and inspiring mentor on their musical path
Maz possesses a remarkable ability to tailor lessons to each individual student's needs and learning style. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, they have a unique way of making complex concepts understandable and enjoyable. Their patience and encouragement create a supportive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and excel.
I am immensely grateful for Max's guidance in my VCE music performance journey. With his support, I achieved a raw score of 43, opening doors for me to pursue a Bachelor in Music at Melbourne Uni. I can't thank him enough for shaping my musical path. His dedication truly made a significant impact on my academic and musical achievements.
Learning piano from Max has been an incredible experience. Achieving a distinction in my grade 8 piano exam (Trinity) is a testament to his exceptional teaching skills. Thanks to Max's effective solfage system, I can now play any song by ear without relying on music sheets. His patient and innovative teaching style made the journey enjoyable and rewarding. I wholeheartedly recommend Max to anyone seeking a skilled and inspiring music teacher.
