About Lukayla

My name is Lukayla Scott, you can call me Kayla. I’m 22 years old. I attend Lehman College in Bronx NY where I major in early childhood development. I work as a part-time nanny in the city & a part-time tutor. My tutor service is called A plus tutor and Hw help. I developed this small business in 2022 in my local library since then I’ve moved my business primarily remote.

About the lesson

I tutor children in grade 2-6 in Math & ELA. I am also a test prep tutor I help students with the Specialized test such as SSAT, TACHS, ISEE etc. I apply my teaching method based on needs of each individual learning style. I like to incorporate fun activities and games. I start each lesson plan with independent trial and error followed with guided learning.

We love lukayla, she tutored both my daughter (10) My son (8) in Math & ELA We met her through a family friend recommendation and we’ve stuck with her since. My daughter had a hard time with her homework and tests I’m a working single mom and don’t have a lot of time to sit with her everyday and work through it.After hiring lukayla her grades went up drastically. Lukayla is amazing, she tutored my 10 year old six grader for his SSAT within the month of his test and his scores were great. She’s very patient my son struggles with ahdh so school can be pretty difficult for him.
