Getting to know and understand the strong sides, musical taste but problematic areas as well is, to me as a teacher, crucial in creating a curriculum.
Each student is a person of their own which the lesson plans reflect.
I have worked with students of all backgrounds, levels and with different goals.
Being a classicaly trained pianist, it's natural that most of my focus is in that field but I also teach non-classical repertoar such as pop songs and musical theater.
I think it all depends on what a student's goal is.
Someone preparing to audition with music school, conservatory or college will not have the same path as someone who would like to entertain at an old fashion piano party, for example.
Whatever your goal is, look for a teacher who nurishes your musicality and appreciates your honest love for music.
LA Opera's Tosca production, to name one.
I always enjoy performances where the performer is pouring their heart on stage.

Milos is the most thoughtful teacher. He calibrates his lessons based on what you know and what you need to learn. He has a unique approach and is both patient and effective. I could not recommend him more. I've made significant progress having taken his lessons both in terms of my skill and in terms of musical theory.
Milos possesses Incredible artistry and commitment to detail. He can play the most challenging music with complete understanding and highest level of pianistic skills. He is easy to work with, adaptable and listens really well. I love making music with him, whether we play piano duets or he accompanies me singing. I would trust him with any project. 10 out of 5 stars!
