My name is Laurianne, and I am eager to help.

Are you in need of specialized tutoring for your child? I have studied and am able to identify which of the different types of fundamental learning your child leans towards, which enables me to individualize my tutoring to fit your child’s needs.

I teach and tutor children through encouragement, understanding, patience, listening, and narrowing down the areas that they need strengthening and help with. I enjoy helping children to understand new concepts, overcome difficulty with skills, and nurturing the spark of accomplishment. Your child will receive excellent one-on-one instruction, and tutoring, in any and all areas in which they want to improve and excel.

I have been effectively tutoring students, for fifteen years, grades pre-K through 8th. During my career as a tutor, I have taught all the preschool, elementary, and middle school subjects, beginning with students as young as four years old.

I have a designated classroom, in my home, that I tutor from, which is fully equipped with a large whiteboard, visual aids, and other learning tools.

Due to my experience and success as a private tutor, I have been encouraged to further my abilities and therefore I am currently pursuing a teaching degree.

I look forward to meeting you and your child in the near future!

About the lesson

When I begin working with a new student, I first ask them questions about their likes and dislikes in school. This will allow me to understand, from their perspective, about their strengths and weaknesses, which helps me to help them excel.

My students have ranged from Pre-K through 8th grade.
