About Dorika

Hi there,

I am Dorika Williams-Gibson and I graduated from the University of The Bahamas with a Bachelor's degree in secondary education History/Geography. Throughout my training, I've successfully learned how to incorporate different teaching strategies; based on the students' learning style. I always ensure that my lessons are engaging and comprehensible; I am willing to go the extra mile when students need clarifications or additional help.

I have many experiences in tutoring. Additionally, I did a lot of volunteer tutoring which was a part of the educational seminars and The Education Awareness Society club.

Finally, with this online tutoring, I wish to benefit the students I work with as much as possible. If there is a need for further information, please contact me by email for a faster response.

It is always a pleasure to help others to learn and grow. Tutoring helps me to build confidence in my teaching techniques. When my students achieve their desired results; I am elated because of this great success.

I've always wanted to be an educator. Throughout my trainning, I've developeda even greater love for the profession.

I have 5 years of tutoring at University of The Bahamas which was apart of the educational seminars. I am proficient in both History/Geography.

About the lesson

When working with a new student, the most important aspect of the entire process is to build a close relationship. ( Meeting the parents is required in this regard). The student will give a detailed description of their challenges in the various topics and desire results. Next, instill confidence in the student because it contributes to their success. After, the student or parent, and I will work together to formulate a plan of action; this plan of action is going to be tailored to the needs of the students.

The types of students in which I've worked with can be categorized in the mixed ability range.

The best teachers to hire are the ones who are genuinely compassionate about their profession. These teachers will go the extra mile so that the student can reach their desired results and beyond.

Recently, I did not attend any events due to COVID 19.
