About Shaylyn
I'm good at a little bit bit of everything but could learn so much more. I've been at a college reading level since elementary school and can pick up on most anything. If I don't know something, I'll educate myself about it. I'm excited to share my knowledge and experience with whoever, whenever! I'm a bluntly honest person about my life, knowledge, and life or learning experiences, (when appropriate) and as far as experience goes I'm honestly mostly self taught for about 18 years. I did graduate, don't get me wrong, my calling in life is just different. My dad showed me a few things and explained several more, but as long as your ready to put faith in me, I'm ready to show you what I know and learn with you through things we both might not know yet and be learning about!
Helping folks has just always been a weakness of mine and I genuinely enjoy the creativity and innocence that young minds still have. I feel as if it makes teaching easier in my opinion.
I have a basic highschool school diploma and about twenty six years worth of priceless knowledge and talent.

Of course I like to get to know my students a little first and get a feel for their interests, distractions, etc. I like to try to make them feel comfortable with me first before deciding what type of learning they need, whether its hands on or note taking etc.
Well, my older sister would have to be my longest standing student. She's special needs/disabled and thinks/acts like a girl with the brain of a five or six year old. I've worked with several of my own friends, teaching them things they wanted to learn but couldn't quite figure out, my own children, my friends children.
I've not "worked" with anyone as far as specific set payment arrangements in exchange for my services however, this would be a first for me.
Always, always, always, look for a teacher that can answer whatever questions you may have regardless of the difficulty, wildness, weirdness etc.
You want a teacher that will genuinely listen to you and be able to understand and answer you on the level you - yourself are seeking and can comprehend.
