About Kate
Hello, I'm Kate : )
I am an experienced Artist and Illustrator who specializes in graphite and charcoal drawing.
My art and design education has involved life and digital drawing using a range of mediums, exploring various styles and applications.
I am a friendly, understanding, and patient person. I have experience and a particular interest in working with nuero-diverse children, supporting them to creative and develop their natural ability in a calm & safe space. I also offer tuition and support to NCEA drawing & painting students.

Hello!
My drawing tuition will cover the following:
- Basic Anatomy drawing
- Understanding proportion
- Simplifying form with geometry
- Exploring different mediums of application
- Tips on how to let go and build confidence drawing
- Exploration of different drawing techniques
Lessons will go for 1.5 hours.
These lessons are suitable for beginner to intermediate skill level; high school students from year 9 through to year 13 or for curious adults interested in exploring their drawing skill.
I have over 8 years experience as a professional freelance portrait artist and hold a Bachelor of Visual Communications.
