I am a high school senior so even though I do not have extensive experience with the various subjects, I can help others understand their lessons in a current student's perspective.

When working with a new student, we discuss first what the student needs help on and if it's going to be a one-time session or there would be recurring sessions after. We will also schedule times that work for both of us because I am currently in my last year of high school and I also work part-time at Walmart. The method of tutoring is up to the student's preference, and if the student chooses for me to go to them, it must be within walking or biking distance.
I suggest getting to know the teacher first, including what their personality is like and if their style of teaching fits your learning needs.
