Experienced teacher tutoring creative subjects and skills! - Drawing tutor with Mariette

Over the last couple of months I have been developing a portfolio for my application to a masters in Fine Art. Having studied Graphic Design at degree level and then working in the media world professionally, I felt there was a real hole in my knowledge around the fine art world. Mariette, having achieved a place on the prestigious fine art course at Goldsmiths AND Glasgow seemed a trusted tutor to guide me through this complex application system. We spent many hours a month looking over my work and critically revising it. She was meticulous and thorough. Her feedback was always very constructive, which really helped me carve out a stronger portfolio. She would set me tasks that encouraged me to explore different areas of investigation outside of my comfortable mediums. She also taught me some of the practical ways of creating paper or binding books as well as feeding me with historical context. She often recommended unusual and inspiring artists for me to research. When it came to constructing my personal statement we would review it weekly. Her strong background in art academia meant she helped me intellectualise my application. It is still in development, but as my practice grows we continue to rewrite it. I Would highly recommend Mariette as tutor be it for extra school support, applications to degrees in art or generally as a sound board for a developing artist.

Mariette has been extroardinary for my personal statement and my interview preparation in order to get into Central Saint Martins.
Before I started I had a completely disjointed Personal statement with no structure. With a few tutoring it became very strong and coherent. I strongly recommend Mariette.
