About Nurlinah

Hi, I’m Linah – Your Friendly Geography Tutor! My love for Geography was started when I was in my STPM year. I love how my teacher taught me in a fun way and relate it with the real world has had me think that this subject is really interesting to learn and for sure it is not as stressful as you think. I started tutoring during my secondary school days, teaching students from kindergarten to Form 3 in various subjects. A bit of my Geography background, I have gotten A in geography for my STPM thanks to my teachers and study groupmates. Even though I don’t have years of formal teaching experience, my Bachelor of Marketing degree has strengthened my communication and analytical skills, allowing me to explain complex topics in a simple and engaging way. Trust me, I will teach you how to score easily and in more fun and smart way.

About the lesson

My Approach to Teaching Geography

Teaching Methodology & Techniques:
I believe Geography is more than just memorizing maps and facts—it’s about understanding the world around us! My lessons are interactive and engaging, using real-world examples, visual aids, quizzes, and discussions to help students connect with the subject. I also incorporate mind maps, case studies, and past exam questions to enhance learning and retention.

Lesson Duration:
Each session typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, with a structured approach:
Concept introduction – Explanation with visuals and examples
Interactive learning – Discussions, exercises, and real-world applications
Practice & review – Recap, quizzes, and answering techniques for exams

My Qualifications & Experience:
I started tutoring during my secondary school days, teaching students from kindergarten to Form 3 in different subjects, including Geography. While I don’t have long-term formal experience, my background as a Bachelor of Marketing graduate gives me strong analytical and communication skills, allowing me to explain complex concepts in a simple and relatable way. For additional information, I will help you to excel with flying colors in your exam especially STPM students. I am taking this subject during my STPM year and able to get A for this subject and I will teach you the tricks.
