About Elizabeth
- I have an elite knowledge of swim technique acquired through 12 years of club swimming in Southern California with Brea Aquatics, Covina Aquatics, and intensive USC camps with Coach Dave Salo
- I competed in 200 IM, 200 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 100 Breaststroke, 4x100 Freestyle Relay, and 4x100 Medley Relay at the elite level in Southern California, and have extensive knowledge about race strategy and theory
- I have worked with every level of swimmer: beginner to elite. My beginner swimmers learned to swim, proficient freestyle, the stroke basics, flip turns, open turns, and block starts within 3 months of instruction
- Intermediate swimmers improved competition times (frequently hitting personal bests), improved technique of all strokes and dives, improved turns for all strokes, and increased disciplined swimming
- Advanced and Elite swimmers perfected aspects of their strokes, turns, and dives while also improving personal bests and stamina
- Some Advanced and Elite swimmers learned cross over turns, improved relay starts, and block start technique

All languages in which the lesson is available :
English
- Any level of swimmer: beginner (fear of water
included) to elite level
- At beginner to intermediate levels I begin with visual aids and foundational movements to build swimmers' body awareness and mind-to-muscle connection to begin learning proper technique
- Beginner levels swim a total of 400-600 yards in one lesson plan depending on their proficiency and stamina
- Beginner levels start with kick boards and freestyle basics until they progress in efficiency to begin learning other strokes and a block start (dive) if applicable
- Intermediate levels swim a total of 1,000-3,000 yards depending on their proficiency and stamina
- Intermediate levels use kick boards, fins, paddles, and bouys to target kick and pull strength and technique, and to heighten swimmers' feel of the water. Intermediate levels also use stroke drills to further develop proper technique, and frequent block starts (dives)
- Advanced and elite levels may have two training objectives during sessions: to perfect technique or enhance speed and stamina through conditioning
-Depending on swimmers' goals and type of athlete (sprint, mid-distance, or distance), Advanced and Elite levels can swim from 6,000-14,000 yards in one session
- Technique sessions include a close examination of desired stroke, turn, or dive, and extensive feed back coupled with drills and/or continued close observation to help perfect the swimmer's technique

Elizabeth is a seasoned, competitive swimmer with almost 15 years experience — she was a great addition to my coaching team. Her mastery of all strokes, understanding of body mechanics, knowledge of competition rules, patience as a coach, and experience as a swimmer, coach, and lifeguard make her invaluable to anyone on a personal level wanting to learn the life skill of swimming, to swimmers who need extra support to master their stroke or to a team!
Elizabeth is the strongest swimmer I know! I sent my mom to her for lessons and now my mom is the second strongest swimmer I know.
Elizabeth has been swimming for more than 15 years. She swam competitively through high school and on year-round club swim teams with great success and kudos from all her coaches.
She's a strong leader with the skill and patience to provide quality instruction on swimming techniques.View more recommendations
