About David
I am a swim coach and aquatic safety instructor based in Auckland, passionate about helping adults feel safe, confident, and calm in the water. I specialize in working with beginners and nervous swimmers, including those with water anxiety, and I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment.
I teach because swimming has been one of my biggest passions, and over time it has become something I truly love sharing with others. I believe swimming is an essential life skill that can transform how people feel about themselves, their confidence, and their safety in the water. It can also be the starting point for many other aquatic sports and experiences.
My goal is to help people overcome fear, build trust in the water, and develop strong, efficient technique that they can carry for life.

I offer a structured and progressive program that takes you from getting comfortable in the water from first introduction to water comfort, through to efficient stroke development, Each lesson is tailored to beginners and nervous swimmers in a calm, supportive environment. We start by identifying your needs, then set realistic goals and work step by step through your swimming and wellness journey at a pace that feels right for you.
