About Miranda

I’m a drama graduate, certified teacher, and lifelong performer with a passion for helping people discover their creativity, confidence, and unique voice.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Drama and a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education, and I have spent over 15 years immersed in the performing arts. My experience includes performing in plays and musicals, competitive singing, improvisational theater, and directing multiple mainstage productions. I've had the opportunity to experience performance from many different perspectives—as an actor, singer, improviser, director, and educator.

My teaching experience has also taught me that there is no single “right” way to learn. I tailor my lessons to each student's personality, experience, goals, and learning style, creating a space where you can experiment, take risks, and have fun while still being challenged to grow.

Whether you're preparing for an audition, working on a monologue, curious about acting for the first time, or simply want to become more confident and expressive, I want to help you develop the skills to own the room, tell a compelling story, and enjoy the process along the way.

Outside of the theater, I love traveling, reading, and writing, and I'm endlessly curious about people and the stories they have to tell.

About the lesson

Acting isn't about becoming someone else—it's about learning how to become more present, expressive, and confident as yourself.

My lessons combine the techniques I've developed through 15+ years of acting and competitive performance with my experience as a certified teacher. Whether you're a complete beginner, an experienced performer, preparing for an audition, or simply looking to become more comfortable expressing yourself, I'll tailor our lessons to where you are and where you want to go.

We'll explore character development, improvisation, scene work, monologues, voice, movement, emotional expression, storytelling, audition preparation, and stage presence. I also incorporate exercises designed to help you get out of your head, take creative risks, and become more comfortable being seen.

My teaching style is supportive but challenging. I want you to feel safe enough to experiment and make mistakes, while also pushing you beyond what you think you're capable of.

Whether your goal is to pursue acting professionally or simply become a more confident and expressive person, my goal is for you to leave each lesson feeling like you've discovered something new about your craft—and yourself.
