About Amalia
Teaching actors from children, to teens and adults in regular screen acting classes, I'm experienced in creating an environment where actors of any experience level achieve their best, and bring a myriad of tools to crack through nerves and mind-blanks to get a fantastic, honest on-camera performance.
I bring a background of professional acting gigs, assisting with audition taping at a top agency in Auckland, tvc casting assisting, several years Meisner technique training, countless auditions, my own filmmaking, a degree in Screen Production and an ATCL diploma in performing Speech and Drama. My screen credits include roles on Shortland Street and Double Parked, short films, and featured extra work on numerous US television productions. I'm frequently on stage in community theater productions, including locally for Remarkable Theatre. I'm extremely approachable, trustworthy, passionate, caring and motivated by supporting my fellow aspiring actors and bringing up the next generation of local talent.

There's finally someone here to help in Queenstown!
Living in Queenstown as an aspiring actor can be tough, despite Hollywood productions shooting right under our noses, local talent are overlooked, there isn't anywhere for the next generation to learn screen acting, and no connected network of actors to support each other with staying in practice and self taping auditions.
I set out to change that in late 2024, launching the Screen Teens acting classes and adults Scene Group.
In 2025, I'm growing my offerings to more teens and adults classes, and offering self taping help and headshots in my portable or home studio.
