About Fillipe

The Basic Cooking Course applies the theory in practice. From choosing the best knife for everyday use to saving money on techniques and good choices when shopping.
You will receive a small handout with the recipes that will be made in each class and a brief explanation of the classes.
The intention of this course is to show that you can cook at home even in a short time, spending less, consequently eating better!

The course is divided into six classes:

Lesson 1: Knife Types, Knife Sharpening and Cutting
Potato Gratin Recipe

Class 2: Broths and Sauces
French Onion Soup Recipe

Lesson 3: How to choose and use vegetables
Pickle, Salad and Vegetable Pie Recipe

Class 4: Pork, beef and poultry.
Recipes for Pork Ribs, Grilled Steak and Marinated Chicken with Caesar Salad

Class 5: Breads and Desserts
Bread, pepper jelly, cookie and chocolate souffle or cake

Lesson 6: Leveraging Leftovers

About the lesson

I take cooking classes at Senac, a college that is reference in the area of gastronomy in Brazil. I have been cooking since I was 11 years old and since 18 I teach people the basis of home cooking.
From choosing of the knife till optmizing the space you have, the cooking basis will make you a better home cook.

Details

The class takes between 1h30 and 2h, but the final amount is what is offered (R$ 55) regardless of how long will take me to finish the class.
Inputs used during class may be the responsibility of the student, who will receive the shopping list when the class is combined, or the teacher. However, there will be a 15% increase over the final value of the purchase of inputs when it is the responsibility of the teacher
