Hi! I’m Bethany, a church pianist and dedicated piano teacher with years of experience helping students grow in both skill and confidence. My mission is to help you not only play the piano — but understand it. Whether you’re learning to read music, play by ear, or dive into theory, I’ll guide you step by step with practical tools you can use long after lessons end. I specialize in: • Beginners and returning pianists • Worship/church musicians • Anyone who wants to play creatively and confidently What sets me apart is my focus on making you musically independent. My lessons aren’t just about playing pieces — they’re about helping you truly understand music, so you can play, explore, and even teach yourself with confidence.

I teach with the goal of empowering you to become an independent, creative musician. Every lesson is customized based on your pace, goals, and musical interests — whether that’s playing for church, jamming with friends, learning pop songs, or reading sheet music.
I play piano for church and love helping students who want to use their gifts in worship or service settings, but my lessons are open to everyone, regardless of background or style preference.
My teaching style is relaxed but structured — you’ll always walk away with something useful, and I’m here to encourage you every step of the way.
Lessons include: “spot reading” out of a hymnal, ear training, music theory and chord progressions, transposing. I will also teach you to teach yourself and learn on your own, so you’re not dependent on a teacher forever.
