About Tonks

I always wanted to be a director, and working on projects over the years realise that to become a good director, you need to live, and understand people. Their hopes and wants, their restraints and problems. I am on a lifelong journey to discover as much as I can of the human society and I channel this into my teaching. I have been teaching both physical performance (circus, stage combat, physical theatre) as well as acting for stage and camera. I am especially trained in working with younger or less advanced actors and actors with disabilities. I care about your journey and to release some of that blockage in your brain that restrains you from reaching your full potential.

About the lesson

We will work with different texts, depending on your needs and learn how to break down a script, how to attack the script from various angles depending on your strengths and mentally prepare you for the role you need to take on. We do this training online in your own safe space. I can also review self tapes and acting CV or cover letters to help you build up a strong foundation for your career. I have worked with actors of any age and background. It is important to me to get to know you on a personal level as I believe this is how I can support your acting the best, so I will have a personalised approach in my lessons.

Harry

Tonks is currently teaching me how to film, edit, colour grade, and export in a variety of aspect ratios for short-form media (Reels) and longer videos to promote my music. She's incredibly knowledgable, patient and explains complex tasks and terminology in ways that I can understand, as well as providing recordings of some parts of our tuition so that I can refer back to them later. Her help has been invaluable. Highly recommended.

I have known Tonks for a few years, during my uni days. She is a pro, taking her passion very seriously as well as making sure everything is always top quality. She has a natural talent for teaching and guiding her students, as well as friends that need a hand. She has helped me in my own field of study by providing deep and experienced perspectives as well as advice. She knows what she is talking about 100% of the time and everyone interested in the same career as her could truly learn a lot from Tonks.
