About Aziz
I love helping students build confidence in subjects that are often seen as difficult, like Physics and Math. Many students struggle because they feel behind from previous years, but I show them that they have the ability to reach Excellence, even if their prior knowledge is limited.
I believe you can’t dislike something you’re good at, and my goal is to make students feel capable and confident and even enjoy these subjects. Seeing students transform their understanding and achieve results they didn’t think were possible is what drives me to teach.

My lessons follow a structured, exam-focused approach based on how NCEA external papers are designed.
Each external paper consists of core topics that students must understand to perform well. I work through these topics one at a time, starting with clear explanations of the key concepts. After each topic, students complete targeted practice questions focused only on that topic, ensuring the understanding is solid before moving on.
Once all topics are covered, we focus on past exam papers. Students attempt questions independently, after which we review answers together using the NCEA marking schedule, revisit mistakes, and strengthen weak areas. This process continues until the student is consistently performing at a Merit or Excellence level and feels confident approaching exam questions.
I also offer ongoing support throughout the school year, not just exam preparation. This includes help with internal assessments, tests, homework, and building understanding as new topics are taught in class.
I genuinely care about my students’ progress and confidence, not just their results. Because of this, I’m happy to answer quick questions outside of lesson hours at no extra cost, especially during exam preparation.
If time is limited, I also offer high-intensity sessions. I have helped a Level 3 physics student improve from Not Achieved to Excellence in the Electricity external through focused tutoring over just 3 days before the exam.
