About Lucía

I am an Argentinian woman of 21 years old, I'm currently living in the US. I started studying English when I was 8 years old and I haven't stopped ever since. I have a C1 CEFR English level certificate from Cambridge. I have experience working as a teacher of small and big groups, involving kids, teenagers, and adults. I have experience with people to whom English came easily even if it wasn't their first language, and I've also worked with people who found learning a new language extremely hard; as a teacher, I always try to do my best so that my students enjoy learning the language and can actually put it into practice, in this way, they're encouraged to keep learning without feeling it as something compulsory but rather something helpful and enjoyable.

About the lesson

I believe that, in order to learn good English and enjoy it, every class should be dynamic and relatable to the student; involving their interests, hobbies, and personal experiences in the teaching. I speak from experience both personal and as a teacher, I loved learning English as a kid because I could immerse myself in the lyrics of the songs I loved and the books I enjoyed, and I noticed that using new songs, movies, and games to teach my students helped them improve their English while also having fun (which is always the most important thing, right?)
