About Sara

What really initiated my journey with yoga was a 3 year therapy that facilitated a path of reclaiming my inner world, which I became disconnected from due to childhood traumas. Alongside inner child therapy, working with bioenergetics, somatic experiencing, TRE(Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises), I found Yoga incredibly helpful. I learned how to reach out for my own wellbeing, how to build a safe space around me, how to become my own protector and caretaker, how to self-regulate my nervous system with regular practices of meditation and breath work, how to reclaim my voice, open my throat Chakra to express myself in this world. Yoga taught me how to listen to my body. Since I started tuning into the voice of my body, I began to receive precious answers. That communication with my body has led me to a much more healthy, integrated, peaceful life. I would love to share my passion for yoga with you and assist you in discovering the new, better quality of life yoga brings!

About the lesson

Hello, I have completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in Portugal where I embodied the yoga lifestyle and learned from the most inspirational people. I teach 1 hour long flows of Hatha and Vinyasa. I will start the class with a gentle Dirga Pranayama (breathing exercise), which will be followed by meditation and setting an intention for the class. We will then move on to a short warm up, through to a couple of Sun Salutation sequences. We then flow through various Asanas (Yoga poses) sequenced based on personal requirements (hip openers, chest openers, twists etc.) The lessons are for anyone who desires to introduce movement, wellbeing, vitality and come out of stagnation in their life. Alexander Lowen says: "To know ourselves we have to feel our body. The loss of feeling in any part of the body is the loss of part of the self. Our basic reality is our body."

Perfect! The replay to the request came very shortly after contact. I was very precise with my expectations for the class as I had some previous injuries. Form the get go she tailored the class to my specific requirement being very respectful about my level and my physical limitations always making sure about the correct posture and movement to avoid putting ulterior strain in the body. Very amicable personality whit a fantastic understanding of her discipline highly recommended.

Perfect! Sara is a very patient teacher with great energy and a calming impact. She teaches quite well and always accommodates my needs. I currently do 2 lessons a week with her and may consider doing more given her excellent rates.
